Day 46: Writing the Lost Dog Poster
Renz (A), whose dog has been missing since Monday, is making a poster to put up around the barangay with his older cousin Noel (B).
How to study this lesson 3 steps
- Read the situation under the title. It says who is talking and how they know each other, which decides how politely they speak.
- Read the dialogue line by line with its translation, until every line makes sense.
- Spend at least 30 minutes listening to native Tagalog. It doesn't matter if you don't understand it yet.
Dialogue
Audio for this lesson is coming soon. For now, read the dialogue and its translation.

A
Kuya, ano pa ang isusulat natin sa poster?
Kuya, what else should we write on the poster?
-
B
Isulat mo: "Ang makakakita ay bibigyan ng malaking pabuya."
Write this: "Whoever finds him will be given a big reward."
-
A
Malaking pabuya? Five hundred lang ang ipon ko, Kuya.
A big reward? I've only saved five hundred, Kuya.
-
B
Sige, dadagdagan ko. Isulat mo: "Ang pabuya ay isang libong piso."
Fine, I'll chip in. Write: "The reward is one thousand pesos."

A
Talaga? Isusulat ko na, bago ka magbago ng isip!
Really? I'm writing it down before you change your mind!
