Day 118 of 265

Day 118: Copied, or Copied From?

Marissa (A) has just had a phone call from the professor of her son Patrick (B), a college student.

How to study this lesson 3 steps
  1. Read the situation under the title. It says who is talking and how they know each other, which decides how politely they speak.
  2. Read the dialogue line by line with its translation, until every line makes sense.
  3. Spend at least 30 minutes listening to native Tagalog. It doesn't matter if you don't understand it yet.

Dialogue

Audio for this lesson is coming soon. For now, read the dialogue and its translation.

  1. A

Tumawag ang propesor mo. Nagkopyahan daw kayo ni Ben!

Your professor called. He says you and Ben copied off each other!

  2. B

Inosente po ako! Si Ben po ang kumopya.

I'm innocent! Ben's the one who copied.

  3. A

    May ebidensiya ka ba?

    Do you have any proof?

  4. B

Opo. Kinopya po niya pati ang mali ko!

Yes. He even copied my wrong answers!

  5. A

Si Ben ang sinungaling! Bakit ikaw ang inaakusahan?

Ben's the liar! So why are you the one being accused?
