Day 107 of 215

Day 107: The Cat Didn't Do It

Julie (A) asks her husband Cris (B), just back from the repair shop, about the family laptop, which their son Basti says their cat, Muning, ruined by knocking his Milo onto it.

How to study this lesson 3 steps
  1. Read the situation under the title. It says who is talking and how they know each other, which decides how politely they speak.
  2. Read the dialogue line by line with its translation, until every line makes sense.
  3. Spend at least 30 minutes listening to native Tagalog. It doesn't matter if you don't understand it yet.

  1. A

O, ano ang sabi ng technician?

So, what did the technician say?

  2. B

Wala raw kahit isang patak ng Milo sa loob.

He says there wasn't a single drop of Milo inside.

  3. A

Pero sabi ni Basti, si Muning daw ang nakatapon ng Milo sa laptop!

But Basti said Muning was the one who knocked the Milo onto the laptop!

  4. B

Sabi ng technician, luma na raw ang baterya, kaya bumigay na.

The technician said the battery's old, so it finally gave out.

  5. A

Kawawa naman si Muning, napagbintangan pa.

    Poor Muning, blamed for nothing.
