Day 142: We Should Have Used the AVR
At home in Laguna, Maricel (A) and her husband, Arnel (B), find that their new smart TV won't turn on after last night's brownout.
How to study this lesson 3 steps
- Read the situation under the title. It says who is talking and how they know each other, which decides how politely they speak.
- Read the dialogue line by line with its translation, until every line makes sense.
- Spend at least 30 minutes listening to native Tagalog. It doesn't matter if you don't understand it yet.
Dialogue
Audio for this lesson is coming soon. For now, read the dialogue and its translation.

Kung naisip ko lang, binunot ko sana bago bumalik ang kuryente.
If only I'd thought of it, I would have unplugged it before the power came back.

Dalawang buwan pa lang natin 'yan, bagong-bago pa.
We've only had it for two months. It's practically brand new.

Heto 'yung warranty card sa drawer! Covered pa pala tayo.
Here's the warranty card, in the drawer! So we're still covered.
