Day 52 of 215

Day 52: Any Power Supply Will Do

An hour before he is supposed to stream a gaming tournament, Dexter (A) brings his computer, which won't turn on, to his friend Kevin (B), who builds PCs.

How to study this lesson 3 steps
  1. Read the situation under the title. It says who is talking and how they know each other, which decides how politely they speak.
  2. Read the dialogue line by line with its translation, until every line makes sense.
  3. Spend at least 30 minutes listening to native Tagalog. It doesn't matter if you don't understand it yet.

Dialogue

Audio for this lesson is coming soon. For now, read the dialogue and its translation.

  1. A

Bro, ayaw mag-on ng PC ko! May stream ako in one hour.

Bro, my PC won't turn on! I've got a stream in an hour.

  2. B

Patay na 'yung power supply mo.

    Your power supply's dead.

  3. A

Bibili ako ng bago ngayon din, kahit magkano!

I'll buy a new one right now, whatever it costs!

  4. B

Sarado na ang mga shop. Heto, kahit luma 'to, gumagana pa.

The shops are closed by now. Here, this one's old, but it still works.

  5. A

Kahit ano, basta umandar! Libre kita mamaya.

Anything, as long as it runs! My treat later.
