Day 137: Doxycycline After the Flood

How to study this lesson 3 steps
- Read the situation under the title. It says who is talking and how they know each other, which decides how politely they speak.
- Read the dialogue line by line with its translation, until every line makes sense.
- Spend at least 30 minutes listening to native Tagalog. It doesn't matter if you don't understand it yet.

A
Myrna, lumusong ka raw sa baha, at may sugat ka pa sa paa.
Myrna, I heard you waded through the flood, and now you've got a cut on your foot.
-
B
Gasgas lang 'to, Dolly. Kailangan kong isalba ang mga paninda ko, e.
It's just a scratch, Dolly. I had to save my stock.
-
A
Kahit gasgas lang, dinalhan na kita ng doxycycline. Sabi ng DOH, inumin ito agad upang hindi magka-leptospirosis.
Scratch or not, I brought you some doxycycline. The DOH says to take it right away to prevent leptospirosis.
-
B
Mamaya na lang, Dolly. Ang dami ko pang lilinisin sa tindahan.
Later, Dolly. I still have so much to clean in the store.
-
A
Isang minuto lang 'yan. Gusto mo bang maospital habang sarado ang tindahan mo?
It'll take one minute. Do you want to end up in the hospital while your store sits closed?
-
B
Ay, huwag naman. O sige, akin na.
Oh, please, no. Okay, fine, hand it over.
-
A
Heto. Linisin mo rin ang sugat araw-araw nang sa gayon ay hindi ito maimpeksiyon.
Here. And clean the cut every day so it doesn't get infected.
