Day 2: How Are You, Lolo?
On Sunday, Lolo Andoy (B) drops by on his own, and his grandson Paolo (A), a teenager, greets him at the door.
How to study this lesson 4 steps
- Read the situation under the title. It says who is talking and how they know each other, which decides how politely they speak.
- Press Play all and listen several times, until the sounds feel familiar. Do not repeat aloud: just listen and absorb. Point at (or tap) a Tagalog word to see what it means.
- Download the Anki deck below and review it every day. It has every line of today's dialogue with its audio. Review earlier decks too when Anki asks you to.
- Spend at least 30 minutes listening to native Tagalog. It doesn't matter if you don't understand it yet.
