Day 219 of 265

Day 219: The Treadmill Isn't a Clothes Rack

With a gown to fit into for her niece's wedding, Analyn (B) finally steps onto the treadmill she bought online months ago and has mostly used for drying laundry, coached by her daughter Sabrina (A).

How to study this lesson 3 steps
  1. Read the situation under the title. It says who is talking and how they know each other, which decides how politely they speak.
  2. Read the dialogue line by line with its translation, until every line makes sense.
  3. Spend at least 30 minutes listening to native Tagalog. It doesn't matter if you don't understand it yet.

Dialogue

Audio for this lesson is coming soon. For now, read the dialogue and its translation.

Ma, limang minuto pa lang po. Huwag po kayong susuko!

Mom, it's only been five minutes. Don't give up!

Ayoko na, hindi ko kaya! Wala akong stamina.

I'm done, I can't do it! I've got no stamina.

  3. A

Isipin po ninyo ang gown! Iyan po ang motibasyon ninyo.

Think of the gown! That's your motivation.

  4. B

Alam ko ang limitasyon ko. Sampayan na lang ulit ang treadmill.

I know my limits. The treadmill can go back to being a clothes rack.

  5. A

Ma, treadmill po iyan, hindi sampayan!

Mom, that's a treadmill, not a clothes rack!
