Day 146 of 215

Day 146: Who Rides With the Truck?

The night before they move out of the apartment they rent from Aling Meding in Mandaluyong to their own house in Imus, Cavite, Fidel (A) and his wife, Myrna (B), plan moving day.

How to study this lesson 3 steps
  1. Read the situation under the title. It says who is talking and how they know each other, which decides how politely they speak.
  2. Read the dialogue line by line with its translation, until every line makes sense.
  3. Spend at least 30 minutes listening to native Tagalog. It doesn't matter if you don't understand it yet.

Dialogue

Audio for this lesson is coming soon. For now, read the dialogue and its translation.

  1. A

I'll ride with the truck tomorrow, okay?

  2. B

No, me! I'm the one arranging our things when we get to Imus.

  3. A

Then who's returning the keys to Aling Meding?

  4. B

Ikaw.

You. As soon as the truck leaves, return the keys, then just follow us.

  5. A

E 'yung TV? Baka mabasag habang nasa biyahe.

What about the TV? It might break on the way.

  6. B

I'll take care of that, and I'll text you when we get there. You take care of the keys.
