Day 186 of 215

Day 186: Renting Out the Condo

Home on vacation from her job in Hong Kong, Remy (A) meets Cecille (B), a real estate agent, to ask about renting out her small condo in San Juan, near a big hospital, while she's away.

How to study this lesson 3 steps
  1. Read the situation under the title. It says who is talking and how they know each other, which decides how politely they speak.
  2. Read the dialogue line by line with its translation, until every line makes sense.
  3. Spend at least 30 minutes listening to native Tagalog. It doesn't matter if you don't understand it yet.

Dialogue

Audio for this lesson is coming soon. For now, read the dialogue and its translation.

  1. A

How much do you think I'd get if I rented out the condo?

  2. B

About twenty thousand a month, almost the same as the units next to yours.

  3. A

Only twenty? My monthly payment on it is even more than that.

  4. B

If it's furnished, almost twenty-five thousand. Lots of doctors at Cardinal Santos are looking for a place.

  5. A

Hindi ko po naisip 'yan! Iiwan ko na po ang mga gamit.

I hadn't thought of that! I'll leave the furniture, then.

  6. B

All right, I'll take pictures of it tomorrow.
