How to study this lesson 3 steps
- Read the situation under the title. It says who is talking and how they know each other, which decides how politely they speak.
- Read the dialogue line by line with its translation, until every line makes sense.
- Spend at least 30 minutes listening to native Tagalog. It doesn't matter if you don't understand it yet.
Dialogue
Audio for this lesson is coming soon. For now, read the dialogue and its translation.

A
Aling Gaying, nanganak na naman po pala si Tisay?
Aling Gaying, so Tisay had puppies again?
-
B
Oo, anim pa! Pangatlong beses na niya 'to.
Yes, six of them! That's her third time.
-
A
Libre po ang kapon sa Sabado, at hindi na po siya manganganak taon-taon.
The spaying is free on Saturday, and she won't have puppies every year anymore.
-
B
Sayang naman, ang cute ng mga tuta. Saka baka masaktan siya.
What a shame, the puppies are so cute. And she might get hurt.
-
A
Hindi naman po, tulog siya habang ginagawa. E sino po ang mag-aalaga sa susunod na anim?
She won't, she's asleep the whole time. And who's going to look after the next six?
-
B
Hay, tama ka. Ilista mo na si Tisay.
Oh, you're right. Put Tisay on the list.
