Day 80 of 215

Day 80: A Pink Stroller by Accident

Half-watching a live sale on Facebook in the living room of their shared house, Teddy (A) suddenly calls out to his housemate Jerome (B).

How to study this lesson 3 steps
  1. Read the situation under the title. It says who is talking and how they know each other, which decides how politely they speak.
  2. Read the dialogue line by line with its translation, until every line makes sense.
  3. Spend at least 30 minutes listening to native Tagalog. It doesn't matter if you don't understand it yet.

Dialogue

Audio for this lesson is coming soon. For now, read the dialogue and its translation.

  1. A

Pare, patay! Na-mine ko 'yung pink na stroller sa live selling.

Dude, I'm dead! I accidentally typed "mine" for the pink stroller in the live sale.

  2. B

    Pink pa? Nakakatawa ka, pare!

A pink one, no less? You're hilarious, man!

  3. A

Nakakainis, ang bilis kasi ng daliri ko. Sapatos sana ang kukunin ko.

So annoying, my finger was too fast. I meant to get the shoes.

  4. B

E 'di i-cancel mo na lang.

    Then just cancel it.

  5. A

Nakakahiya sa seller. Ayaw pa naman niya ng joy reserver.

I'd feel bad doing that to the seller. And she can't stand joy reservers, buyers who claim and never pay.

  6. B

Manganganak na nga pala si Ate next month. Akin na 'yang stroller!

Come to think of it, my sister's due next month. I'll take that stroller!
