Day 107: A Hint Over the Menu
At their monthly lunch at an Italian restaurant in Greenhills, Jean (A), whose husband lost his job two months ago, studies the prices on the menu while her old friend Carmen (B), who always picks the place, orders for both of them.
How to study this lesson 3 steps
- Read the situation under the title. It says who is talking and how they know each other, which decides how politely they speak.
- Read the dialogue line by line with its translation, until every line makes sense.
- Spend at least 30 minutes listening to native Tagalog. It doesn't matter if you don't understand it yet.
Dialogue
Audio for this lesson is coming soon. For now, read the dialogue and its translation.

It's worth it. Miss, two carbonaras, please, and a four-cheese pizza.

Bolera ka talaga. Mag-tiramisu tayo mamaya, paborito mo 'yon, 'di ba?
You're such a flatterer. Let's have tiramisu later, it's your favorite, isn't it?

Sa susunod na buwan, sa bahay na lang kaya tayo? Ipagluluto kita ng palabok.

A
Sige ba! Ako na ang bahala sa leche flan, isang buong llanera pa.
Sure! I'll take care of the leche flan, a whole pan of it.
