Day 90: Thank You for Seven Seasons
In the office pantry, Abby (A) shows her officemate Darwin (B) a long thank-you message to the fans posted by his favorite PBA point guard.
How to study this lesson 3 steps
- Read the situation under the title. It says who is talking and how they know each other, which decides how politely they speak.
- Read the dialogue line by line with its translation, until every line makes sense.
- Spend at least 30 minutes listening to native Tagalog. It doesn't matter if you don't understand it yet.
Dialogue
Audio for this lesson is coming soon. For now, read the dialogue and its translation.

A
Have you read your idol's post? He wrote the fans a really long thank-you.
-
B
I read it. He's just saying thanks. He never said he's leaving.
-
A
He didn't. But why is the caption "Thanks for seven seasons" and not "See you next season"?
-
B
Pitong season naman talaga siya sa team. Nagbibilang lang siya.
He really has played seven seasons for the team. He's just counting.
-
A
Now, of all times, when his contract's about to run out? And it wasn't the team that posted it. It was him.
-
B
Until there's an official announcement, I'm not believing it.

A
Okay.
Okay. Then why isn't he your wallpaper anymore?
