Day 128: A Pasalo Condo
In a condo unit in Mandaluyong, its owner (A), who is moving to Canada, offers it as a pasalo to a young couple, Hailey (B), who works at a bank, and Zach (C): they would take over his monthly payments.
How to study this lesson 3 steps
- Read the situation under the title. It says who is talking and how they know each other, which decides how politely they speak.
- Read the dialogue line by line with its translation, until every line makes sense.
- Spend at least 30 minutes listening to native Tagalog. It doesn't matter if you don't understand it yet.
Dialogue
Audio for this lesson is coming soon. For now, read the dialogue and its translation.

In short, if this doesn't go through the bank, the debt stays in your name, and we have no rights to the unit.

C
So even if we make every payment, it still won't be ours?

I don't want to leave the country with anything hanging. What does the bank need from me?

A loan assumption: your signature, and we go through the credit investigation. Love, get your payslips ready.
