How to study this lesson 3 steps
  1. Read the situation under the title. It says who is talking and how they know each other, which decides how politely they speak.
  2. Read the dialogue line by line with its translation, until every line makes sense.
  3. Spend at least 30 minutes listening to native Tagalog. It doesn't matter if you don't understand it yet.

Dialogue

Audio for this lesson is coming soon. For now, read the dialogue and its translation.

  1. A

Engineer, what if that thing crashes onto my neighbor's roof?

  2. B

It has GPS and radar, so it steers clear of roofs and trees on its own.

  3. A

Isn't that even more expensive than paying three of my workers?

  4. B

Only in the first year. One hectare takes just fifteen minutes and ten liters of water.

  5. A

Sampung litro?

Ten liters? How can that reach every plant if it's so little?

  6. B

The mist is very fine, so it clings to the leaves, and you use almost a third less fertilizer.

  7. A

Sangkatlong bawas sa abono? Dapat 'yan ang inuna mong sinabi, Engineer!

A third less fertilizer? You should've led with that, Engineer!
